hello,
I have no idea how difficult that may be to implement but here goes a wishful thinking. if there could be a rank to every package in yum list so that you could know if a package is ranked high in the community or low. I guess the ranking part can be from the program itself, say for example I am using Kmail and I think it is great so I go to help->about->rank and give it a 10 but then I go to Kaddressbook and give it a 7 (just for the example). another option would be to gather the info from the trackers as to how many bugs open and for how long (or something similar), exists for that package. just a thought, hope it is possible and not too hard. Yum and yumex are distribution-specific tools, they are not used across the board by Linux systems (even RPM-based ones) nor are they developed by or supported by KDE. The developers responsible for Yumex would need to implement this, please submit the idea to them.
