This is just in logical consequence to Lancelot, the launcher. I have set all menus and items to start as 'no click activation', and like it enough to want the same for desktop icons, after some predefined time of mouse over.

How would that work with the folder popups?

Bot sure what you mean. Yes, files and folders preview on mouse over, and that's okay. Next to the folders I have some icons for my favourite applications, and I had the idea, that the last item I need to click for 'starting' are those icons (e.g. OpenOffice). From Lancelot, mouse over is enough. The folders open on their own. Why could I not, jsut by 'resting' the mouse for some time, getting the application started? |

When you hover your mouse over a folder, the contents of that folder then pop up. This means you would not be able to select folders in this way. This leads to inconsistent behavior. Perhaps if you hovered over the "+" button it would be selected, that would allow selecting of files and folders and would also be more consistent with how lancelot does things (with the hover icon).

Sure. I didn't mention that 'arrow' in Lancelot, in order to make it difficult to understand. Of course, aside from directly activating on mouse over, I was as well thinking about a similar 'arrow' to start an application with mouse over. At least, if the concept of Lancelot stays. |

Lancelot don't run activator, when mouse over on it. You mouse over on item and next mouse over on special bulb/icon. The behavior are similar to Dolphins bulbs and plasma plasmoids handler.
