Task Manager Improvement Needed

Kde is becoming really modern but it seems like the task manager widget is lagging behind. Windows 7 changed theirs to just icons which is known is the superbar.
I think it would be a cool idea to implement something like that into the kde desktop. I find the superbar very convenient.

KDE has plasmoids such as Fancy Tasks or STasks which provide this functionality. True they don't double as a quicklaunch which Windows does, but it's pretty close. Is that what you were looking for?

Either way this idea is a duplicate.
