When i used Dolphin, and downloaded some files to the download folder, the file did not show up immediately and as a result, the F5 hotkey was needed to view the file.
This problem can be resolved by the fact that dolphin carries out the updating task automatically. PD. i don't know if somebody posted that idea, but i think that is a good idea |

I think Dolphin does update automatically - but at intervals, not on download. Could be wrong, though. If I'm right, maybe just shortening the interval would be good enough?

There's a number of bugs filed that seem related to this one https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=210284 states "This was a regression due to changes in the 2.6.31 kernel. Fixed in 4.3.5 and 4.4 RC 1 and later" - If you're seeing this in 4.3.5 or 4.4rc1 or later then you should report it to bugzilla
also see bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207361 my understanding is that the refresh is initiated by inotify (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inotify) |
