Add a task manager option to the log out menu ( I mean the one that appears when you press ctrl+alt+del)... just like vista/7. We all have come to learn that shortcut, it works in kde, except for that one option...

"Because windows does it that way" is not a good reason to do anything in my opinion. In fact putting all of that stuff together in the ctr+alt+del menu is one of my pet peeves with windows. In my opinion each shortcut should do one thing. The logout shortcut should pull up the logout menu, the task manager shortcut should pull up the task manager, and so on. Putting them all together just makes it harder to use.

@aapgorilla: Use [Ctrl] + [Esc] instead.

Ctrl+Esc is much faster because you can do it with one hand, without pressing it in mistake.
If you have fullscreen application running the Ctrl+Esc works as well. Ctrl+Alt+Del is today such shortcut that people do not anymore know it. Only those who lived Windows 95 and Windows 98(SE) times will remember it well. Since XP it has not been so much needed. Altough it is fancy to get a "login screen" with that combination when comes error. But it is not so wise. |
