Flexible panels with multiple rows

Panels have now only quadrilateral shapes. It would be nice if some alternative shaped panels can be selected as well, like a triangle or a round panel (this only make sense if the 'floating' panels are implemented as well)

First, this is multiple independent ideas.
However, there are already plans for "floating" panels not attached to a screen edge, and already requests for multi-row panels, and already multi-row containments you can put applet in. The only idea that is valid is the idea for different shaped panels. Please edit the idea to only include this.
