Please adjust development priorities. The big projects like koffice takes a lot of time and should not be a top priority (I don't like open office very much but an office suite is a really big project)
Instead focus on kontact (there still a log of bugs) and things of everyday use first.
I would like to see working windows mobile sync sometimes...
But I don't say to stop the development of such project they look promising.

I don't agree at all. I'm very interested in KOffice and in Kontact, but I don't care at all about windows mobile. KOffice can easily replace OOo in the near future. Btw. Krita rocks!

This is not how KDE (or free software communities in general) works. Most developers contribute on their free time with no benefits other than users' appreciation and the fact that they enjoy what they're doing. There is no overlord who can tell these people what they should work on - similar to how nobody can force you to start working on Kontact, even if it seems like you want to see it improved.

Furthermore, calling KOffice "quite useless" because you don't find it useful is very inconsiderate and does not follow the Code of Conduct. It is part of the , so please read it if you haven't.

All right, i'm sorry for a bad choice of words. All I meant was that office should not be a top priority. I'm not saying that is koffice is bad but sometimes it behaves differently than open office so I am forced to use a "standard" solution.
You have a point that people do what they like but in every piece of software bugs has to be solved somehow...
This was not an order, the topic says that it's brainstorming very clearly so I wrote an opinion to be discussed about. So i really don't understand why it was marked is invalid and voting was disabled.

It is invalid because it is not a feature request. The brainstorm forum is for feature requests. If you want to discuss the direction of KDE, do so on the Discussions and Opinions forum.

This also, as Hans already pointed out, cannot be implemented. KDE is almost entirely done by volunteers. They do what they want, when they want. If people want to work on koffice, they work on koffice. If people want to work on KDE pim, they work on KDE pim. There is no way to make them change their focus. So your idea is invalid in that regard as well, it is simply impossible to do.

If you would like to discuss this, please post a new thread in discussions and opinions. However, these sorts of comments demonstrate a marked lack of understanding of how KDE and open source software in general works, so expect to see a lot of disagreement.
