OK, to use the tiling feature, configure Kwin as the black cat explained me uper, then, select your windows as when you move it, and move her on the right/left/up or down side of the screen, but to my mind, it's difficult to use, I would find better that user can select what windows he wants to put in tiling mode.
For a better world, we should all work for a common well being, a common humanity...

Well KDE SC 4.6 has closer version of your idea.
Before you could grab your window by titlebar and drag it up to make it smaller, well now you can also drag it top right or top left to tile it in that way. So to make a "mosaic" as your idea proposes you just do that. This is how it looks like:

I am closing the idea as invalid. What this idea amounts to is a number of suggestions for improving kwin's tiling system. Please post these as separate ideas.

Yup. But it is in RC state, you you can either update it now, or wait until 26. of January. (I think)
