I don't understand.
Do you mean the ability to view a HTML page that is across any KIO i.e ftp://mysite.co.uk/somehtmlpage.html or full KIO directory listing support like a file manager has? If so, how is this any different to what konqueror was? |

It would still use webkit. It uses less resources. I like the UI better. |

...but if you start adding folder browsing and KParts etc. you'll end up using more resources and having the same UI as Konqueror.

Then we should improve the konqueror UI, provide an alternative UI within konqueror, or provide a separate program built on the konqueror core that has a simplified UI.
The whole point of rekonq is that it is a focused, dedicated web browser, nothing more. The intention was to get away from the jack-of-all-trades that konqueror is, the same as Dolphin.
