Hi
The Dolphin File manager has a coloumn grid alignment in view properties, which puts file and folder names alongside icons, not below icons as in row grid view. This view is very much similar to Tiles view in Windows Explorer. I like this very much. But my problem is when I select Show in Groups option along with this view, the whole look changes to single coloumn and all icons are aligned in to one single coloumn. May be this is a bug or a feature overlooked by KDE devs, someone please confirm this issue and tell me if there is a workaround. I wish for it to still use multiple columns instead of a single column. |

You are correct, it does restrict it to a single column. I do not know of a workaround yet. Sounds more like a bug than an idea though. Please find a developer of Dolphin either on a mailing list or IRC, and see if it is more appropriate to be directly put into b.k.o.

From their page, http://kde.org/applications/system/dolphin/ they seem to use the kde mailing list.

Moult, I have added this issue as a bug in Bugzilla.
