Desktop Folder

1. drag/drop other icons in/out of desktop folder. I can easily add an icon to my desktop form the KDE menu, but I cannot drop this into my Desktop Folder it always ends up a manual entry. Adding new desktop folder items is not a simple task, especially for non-techies.

2. Why settle for 1. Obviously I can create other Desktop Folders, but filling up my desktop is not an option. A Min/Max on the Desktop folders widget would help, so I could have and Audio,Video,Dev,WWW,Apps desktop folders which I could collapse/expand. I might use multi-desktops icons if it was available, but think it would be useless without a min/max feature.

I guess what is needed is a add to Desktop Folder instead of add to Desktop for the KDE menu items. If more than desktop folder exists then a prompt for which(#2). Adding simple add to "Desktop Folders" and only adding to the 1 would be a simple but great start.

1 seems like a bug to me. You can file a bug report, but I just tried it and it works fine for me, assuming I am understanding what you are doing. Please post a thread in the plasma section asking for help getting this working. 2 and the part about "add to desktop folder" are two separate ideas. Please submit them separately. For 2, you will need to explain why this is better than using tabbed folderview widgets.
