Audio Streaming:
I think, it would be helpful to stream the audio from the KDE desktop to a smartphone. Implementing a cheap "remote headphones" system With pulseaudio being pretty much a standard now, it is feasible i think. Audio Input: How about using the smartphone's mic for input in the KDE desktop? (not really interested but also feasible). What do you think? |

Yes! This would be a great feature!
You don't need to buy an expensive and heavy Bluetooth headset - just use your smartphone. Ahh .. Windows users would be jealous |

Hope this happens cause my bluetooth headphone is pretty new and there are no open source drivers for it hence mic doesnt seem to work, i would be good if i can tunnel audio through phone via kdeconnect.

This feature makes a ton of sense, especially given that voice recognition is getting evermore popular and you can now search Google and other cool stuff that you need a good mic for.
This very useful feature was requested in 2014 and seems like a fairly straight forward thing to accomplish - especially given everything else KDEConnect can now do, so why has it not been done? |

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
