Quick search field in KDE Menu Editor to locate applications in menu structure
Fri Mar 20, 2009 6:06 pm
It would be nice to have a quick search field in kmenuedit to quickly locate applications by name in the Kicker menu structure, filtering nodes in the tree that match a search entry.
At the moment I must click through the graphical menu tree to find where a dedicated application might be. See my wish report at Bug tracker issue 183282 |

Yes please. I requested this on KDE-look back in 2006, but it seems that kmenuedit hasn't got much love in KDE4.

I'm glad you've already made this request, or I would make it right now! Implementing this feature would make the menu editor a lot more user-friendly.
Some distros hide apps in endless submenus, and I really don't feel like searching through all of them to find what I'm looking for. And just how complicated would it be to add a little search field? |

Given you've already submitted it, I'm marking it "Submitted".
