Hi!
For Firefox there is a great addon calles FireBug. Without this tool I would not use Firefox, just Konqueror. It is extremely useful for Web-Developers:
-Display DOM-information
-Debugging JavaScript
-Displaying PHP debugging-information
-Analyze the design
-Change stylesheets
-Analyze the time for loading the page

I think it should not be complicate to inspect the DOM. The same JS like in FireBug could be used. For FirePHP a lot of JavaScript functions could be reused. But JS-Debugging would need a really new implementation for Kross.

I'd love also to see something like firebug in konqueror.

One more thing that's related but different... We use firefox (netscape) plugins in konqueror, it could be possible one day to use also firefox extensions in konqueror?

don't confuse plugins with extensions. while the former uses a standardised api the latter doesn't. xul is evolving as mozilla sees it fit for them. and afaik -- correct me if i'm wrong -- the most (if not all) extensions use xul to extend firefox.

When you see the files in ~/.mozilla/firefox/extensions, there are a lot of XUL-file combined with JS and CSS.
Look here, but for now I think it would be easier to create such a tool i a native way thaan porting XUL.

Proudly dual-booting openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 4.3 and Windows Vista on a Toshiba A205-S4577 since July 2007.
