Well, that's right.
Maybe the Pardus team could make it modally, so it has got a core and modules (so the theming is changeable and the setting modules are, too). The KDE teams could add their own modules and other distributions could add their own, too. The style could be changed by the distributions and the KDE teams.

I think I've seen other ideas here on Brainstorm or KDE Bugzilla for this concept, but its a great one!

Some distros (openSUSE for one) have a "welcome" screen that appears on first logon, but there's no reason why the wizard in the idea requested here couldn't be integrated into it by the distro maker IMO.


Proudly dual-booting openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 4.3 and Windows Vista on a Toshiba A205-S4577 since July 2007.
