I like to have the cover art in each album's folder, separate.

WHY?
1.-I have 10.000 albums in different folders. I don't worry if I move some albums in other computer, or disc, or memory stick. The cover is with each folder album.

2.- If I have 5 users, each user needs to download and to save 10.000 covers in the personal home. It's unnecessary repetition.

3.- I can navigate in dolphin and I can see the covers in the preview folder.

Amarok could give me the option if I want to save covers in each folder or, like now, in the user folder.

I still view this as a separate idea - idea 84087 shares his 3rd point, but not the first 2.

idea 84087 involves a filemanager that became a mess, to me. but for audio folders[1] it's straightforward - maybe a bit more as in 84087 than in the mockup here. As for (2) here, it seems to be a bit more of amarok or backengines (phonon? boh) than filem.

[1] Actually even dirs with many images looks good, with some sized thumbs on top of the dir, no?

There is already a script for this. It is called copycover2.

TheBlackCat is right - the question is whether or not _loading_ the cover arts can be done from the directory with a plugin. (his 2nd point)

If yes, I will close this idea.

I think it's a bad solution. When you listen to the album the plugin copies the cover art, if the cover art was dowloaded from amarok before.

For example, you can download 10.000 cover arts with amarok, but the plugin doesn't copy into each album folder, only when you listen the 10.000 albums :(

The bug has been re-opened, so moved to submitted.
