Binary packages of KOffice 2.0-RC1 seem not to be available for openSUSE.

At http://koffice.org/releases/2.0rc1-release.php I read:
"openSUSE packages are available for 10.3, 11.0, 11.1 and Factory from
the openSUSE Build Service within KDE:KDE4:Factory:Extra-Apps repo."

I can't find any packages of KOffice 2.0-RC1 at
http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... xtra-Apps/
except for
http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... ry:/Extra-
Apps/openSUSE_Factory/src/koffice2-doc-1.9.99.0-71.1.src.rpm
but that only builds the documentation of koffice2.

Can anyone ask the openSUSE people when they will
provide binary packages of KOffice 2.0-RC1?

Thank you

I've found them in another directory:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... LE:/Extra-
Apps/openSUSE_11.1/i586/
or in
http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... tory/i586/

I don't know which one is better.
I'm going to try the unstable one in KDE-Four-Live.

No, I'm not going to try it out.
The unstable koffice requires unstable kdebase4-runtime.
I'm not going to completely ruin my KDE-Four-Live virtual machine.

I can't find them at the locations above mentioned. Have they moved to somewhere else?

Thanx.

Add this into yast and you should find it

http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... E_Factory/

Note: DO NOT do this if you haven't or are not comfortable in using the factory repos. It can break things, and will update KDE to 4.2.2.

I made a new virtual machine with KDE-Four-Live and updated it to unstable by adding these repositories:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... E_Desktop/
http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... E_Desktop/
http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... SUSE_11.1/
http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... E_Factory/

Messages with conflicts will appear after adding these repositories:
conflict with kdevelop for instance: you must downgrade kdevelop (and other packages) because with KDE 4.3 snapshot some packages have a lower version than for KDE 4.2.2

Warning: The KDE 4.3 snapshot has an unworkable K menu, so you can't use it.
To run a command do "Alt+F2" or rightclick Desktop and type "yast" and install KWord 2.0 RC1.

Or you can try the KDE-UNSTABLE Live-CD with KDE 4.3 snapshot and Qt 4.5 at http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... mages/iso/ (introduced with http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/3912 ).

Note though that you don't need to use unstable (AKA KDE 4.3) to test Koffice. Just replace every unstable in the repos you listed with factory if you're more comfortable in using 4.2.2 for the time being.
