Temporary files created with each kword , kpresentation and kspreadheet application .

Hi ,

Whenever i open kword , kpresentation and kspreadsheet ....and try to save the files ...2 files are created ...
one will be the file and the other will be the temporary file created .
How can I stop this happening ?

The appliations rename the old document you opened to have the tilde (~) character which is useful to have as a backup. So you can just use that file if you find out something was lost.

If that is what you mean then it is not a temporary file, it is intended. Why would you turn it off?

Hi ,

This might duplicate the files ...and consume hard disk space ...

Please let me now if any solutions possible ..
