I find myself in a situation where I need to open some .ksp and .kwd files (created with KOffice 1.6) on a computer where KOffice is not installed (there is only OpenOffice.org 3.1, KDE 4.2, FreeBSD 7.2). I know that KOffice can save files in OpenDocument format, but that train is gone - the files are already here in a "wrong" format and I have ATM no KOffice installation where I could do a "Save As" operation.
Is there any way for me to open these files (or convert them to some format that OpenOffice.org can open) without actually installing KOffice? I thought this should be an easy task, but to my surprise a hour of googling has turned up nothing... |

The only solution is to install koffice. you might even use koconverter if you want to batch process them to odf, and then you can uninstall koffice.
