Don't you think that fonts rendered in KOffice look too blurry? There is bug report about this, but unfortunately I'm not able to encourage KOffice devs that it's actually a bug. The fonts in openoffice, ms word and any other text editor I've even used are more sharpen. Please voice your opinion about it on the bugzilla.

Can you attach a document that show the issue ? (I experimented with this this morning, and got very similar result in KWord and OOWriter, a bit more blurry in KWord, but on the other hand I had letter that started to merge in OOWriter)

There are some settings in your 'system settings' for font hinting that greatly affect how fonts render in all of kde and koffice.
Maybe you can change that a litte.
Scaling a font to any size on a low-resolution screen (< 100 dpi) is very hard. But not so bad in most cases; see http://www.koffice.org/wp-content/uploa ... rsIn21.png for example. Looks fine to me.
