Table of contents (and various other tables, like list of images) etc are currently missing features in KWord so you won't find that in 2.2.
One of our community members, Jean-Nicolas Artaud has done some work in trunk (for 2.3) to generate a table of contents but its currently not done yet and has known issues.
So if anyone wants to hack on that, contact me or Jean-Nicolas on irc or mail :)

it is okey thx for your answer and i hope that 2.3 will have this feature.
i am a computer science master student and i would love to contribute but since i am new to linux word and QT libraries i think it is not that easy for me to contribute
