Hi everyone..

I'm having a small issue with kword: Among the other koffice apps, there is an option to insert a formula into the document, which is on the side panel, under the shapes floating one. But in kword, that option is not visible.
Anyone know why is that?

I'm using KDE 4.5.2 on Ubuntu Maverick with packages from kubuntu-ppa. Kword version is 2.2.2-0ubuntu3

Thanks! And sorry my bad english.

The formula component (its a shape) is not finished; specifically you won't be able to save your work since thats not implemented yet.

Allowing you to insert it sounds cruel to me since it would lead to disapointment after you put the work into it.

The reason its not visible in kword is because its disabled in the configuration. The kwordrc has a FlakePluginsDisabled line, if you want you can edit it to remove the formula shape entry.

It is false that the formula shape doesn't save: it does. I know, since I implemented that myself.

Sorry Inge, didn't realize that; can you tell us in which KOffice release was saving first functional?

Thanks for the added info!

I think it was 2.3, actually, but I'm not 100% sure.
