When KOffice2 beta1 was released, I was unable to save flake objects within a document. The text was retained, but not the graphics. One of the developers mentioned on the main KDE site that the code for saving was already in place and that it would be implemented in beta2. Sadly, it seems beta2 still does not save flake shapes in the document. It's a little disheartening to see that something so critical is still not working at this point in the beta release cycle. Without it, it's really not possible for me to give it a thorough testing. I continue to have high hopes for KOffice, and I hope this feature makes it into the next beta release.

If it isn't working in Beta2 even though they say Saving is implemented, either it is a bug ( most likely ) or loading isn't implemented ( then it wouldn't be Beta quality ). I would recommend you talk directly with the KOffice devs on their mailing list.
