Writing equations in KWord

Mon Jul 25, 2011 8:37 pm
I am attempting to write a short document containing mathematical formulas that contain Greek letters. I thought I'd try out KWord and KFormula, but I can't figure out how to enter anything mathematical. I am using OpenSuse, with KDE 4.6.00 and the accompanying version of KOffice. I opened KFormula, and it does not show any mathematical symbols, whatever I try. I can select "Formula" from the drop down in the "Add Shape" box, and I my settings are set to display the symbol and matrix toolbars, but all I have is "New", "Open" and "Save". KWord, shows even less, since I can't even select "Formula".

Is it possible to enter formulas at all?

It seems the formula editoring function has not been implemented yet.
