Hope this is the correct subforum...

I use krunner to start programmes. I type in kdesudo name of programme and the prompt comes up. However, it does not accept it. Ironically when I start for example gparted from the menu I get asked the password and it is accepted.

kdepasswd does not recognize my password either. My default locale is en_GB and my passwords do contain characters unique to that keyboard layout. However, just to test I changed my user password using universal characters and kdesudo worked.

Anybody got any idea what I'm missing?
