How do I remove shortcut Ctrl+Shift+E from KDE systems?

Ctrl+Shift+E enables the input of emojis. Pressing Ctrl+Shift+E, then typing `joy`, and finally hitting space, produces the emoji 😂.

I would like to disable this shortcut because it conflicts with other software I'm using. How can I do this in KDE systems? I can't see this shortcut in Global Shortcuts, Standard Shortcuts, and Custom Shortcuts. Ubuntu users seem to get this resolved by dealing with ibus - this solution does not work in KDE.

Funny, I never heard of this, are you sure it is KDE specific? I can't find it in any of our shortcut lists, might come from another application you use.
If this does exist in one, then maybe it is specific to that application and you would have to remove it from their settings.

Can you give an example of a specific application where this shortcut actually does produce something? I have tried in Konversation, didn't work.

It works on this very forum (using Google Chrome). This emoji here 😂 was produced using Ctrl+Shift+E then the joy word.

All Visual Studio Code users in Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Neon, etc. are suffering with this, as this shortcut is one of the most important (open view to the Project Explorer).

Ctrl+Shift+E produces nothing for me, so saying it affects all Kubuntu users is not exactly true. This must come from some application you have installed I don't have. Could it be from a Chrome extension?

The Ctrl+Shift+E shortcut does not show anywhere in the list of shortcuts (Global, Custom, Standard).

I know, that is why I suggest checking of this is from a non-KDE application. I don't have this shortcut either and when trying it it simply doesn't work. I am pretty sure it is not KDE specific.

5.18 is getting an emoji picker - shortcut is meta +. though.
So i'd agree that ctrl+shift+E is something application specific - https://forum.level1techs.com/t/gnome-d ... t-e/130351 looks like this shortcut is default in gnome - maybe some gnome-application that you have installed?
