Screen annotate

Wed Jun 14, 2017 9:05 am
I am trying to find a program that will allow free hand annotations
We are using openSUSE 42.2 and I want to be able to highlight
items on a Libre Impress presentation. It doesn't need to be that clever
The scenario is a teacher wants to highlight a particular item on a presentation
so the ink layer doesn't need to be saved. The set up is that teacher machines have
2 screens the left one being theirs and the right one is the TV or Smartboard/Projector.
They use the left one for things like the register so students can't see it and put things
like presentations on the right one. Then they wander around waving their hands in
the air as teachers do and occasionally write annotations over their presentations.
Maths are a good example, the presentation has the problems and after a bit the teacher
writes the working over the problem and then moves on, clearing the screen.
( aka Microsoft Ink layer ) I tried Gromit and I couldn't get that to work

Perhaps you might be interested in the Mouse Mark effect? Enable in System Settings -> Desktop Effects -> All Effects.

Now that's a handy little tool :-)

It is a shame you need the keyboard. What would be great is a
on-screen on/off button. I know I'm sounding petty but the Tv/Smartboard
isn't near the keyboard and teachers like to stand in front of the class to rant :-)

Many thanks

Maybe you should try to use Fedora 25? Compared to Fedora, openSUSE takes a very rigid approach towards security and enables Firewalls by default blocking many ports that you may use for applications like Plex Media Server and you have to manually open such ports. openSUSE also doesn’t do a very good job at simplifying things when installing new packages or upgrading; YaST Software Manager will throw package conflict notifications without really helping users much, I have not yet come across such issues with Fedora; you can either install a package or not (if dependencies are not satisfied). You can use both on the same system using dual booting method (right here you can try to solve the problem associated with both these distributions). Also, look at the option with Okular.

Sorry, I came across that older post.

Libre Office impress has that feature built-in: Right click while presenting, then "mouse pointer as pen", here you go!

8) I think this is a very convenient application, which can make training more productive. I only buy essay papers, but you propose good idea too.

It's very nice but I'm not very aware of this, but always when I need advice I buy online essay. this is very cool because you can easily get to know something on this or that topic. By the way, the article about different techniques is also available.

It's great, maybe it can help somebody, but usually, when I am searching for information I use an original-writing.com. It's a huge resource or useful information.
