No option for exporting

Thu Aug 20, 2015 6:03 am
I'm using Kexi 2.9.5 on Fedora 22. I see the menu option "Import, Export, or Send..." and I click it, but I only get "Import Database". No button for exporting. "External Data" also only contains import buttons.

How can I export a table or query?

An option to export a query as a .csv via CLI would be awesome. I know it's all just an SQL database underneath, but managing everything from Kexi would be slick.

This command needs a context. There are two options:

1. Use right-click on the Project navigator's item:

2. Open a table or query in data view. Click 'Export Data to File':

Other options:
Assuming the destination database is Kexi-compatible (for now it means: created in Kexi), you can also open the destination database and import table(s).

There's no way to import/export entire designs (tables/queries/forms, etc.) for now (a wish at bugs.kde.org would be welcome).

That's right. And import too. And this can be managed from scripts (javascript). Suitable wishes at bugs.kde.org would help us to remember that.
