help with kompare/kdiff3 https urls using tls (post-poodle)

Registered Member
Help all! I have a lot of users that run kompare against files on my server, living inside https. That used to work fine, but due to security requirements for POODLE I had to disable SSLv3. That leaves only TLS, and neither kompare nor kdiff3 are able to handle that connection.

Is there a setting somewhere I can edit, or an upgrade I can perform that would enable kompare and/or kdiff3 to connect via TLS?
