white noise heavy

Thu Dec 12, 2013 7:05 pm
Hello!

I'm generate white noise 3 min and render it. it turned out already 2G.

how can I render noise at least 100-200 м?

sorry my English.

You will have to lower the bitrate. If you have rendered lossless, you will have to choose a lossy format and set the bitrate accordingly: 3 min = 180 sec; 100MB = 800MBit; 800MBit/180sec = 4444 KBit/sec; render with bitrate of 4444 KBit and you will be pretty close to 100MB for 3 minutes of any contents.

strange, but with noise it is impossible

White noise can not be compressed losslessly in principle, a fact from signal theory.

So, it is normal that even the lossy video compression algorithms will have trouble with it!

The only thing you can do, is to force a low bitrate, and hope that it will still look similar to white noise ("snow").
