There have been posts in the General Help forum from people who want the krita grid to be behind the image or to be incorporated into the image and/or to be exportable for external use. This is not possible because that's not how the krita grid works and it's not the purpose of the krita grid. There are a variety of grid-image maker tools and websites on the internet but I've never found a good or useful one for images. (If you want custom graph paper with a great variety of designs, I'd recommend https://incompetech.com/graphpaper/ )

So, I've made a 'gridmaker' tool and some grid patterns using krita. You can get it all in a zipped folder from my Dropbox here:

If you find any mistakes or problems, please let me know so that I can correct them and reupload to Dropbox and refresh the link location.

Please read the EXPLANATION.txt file since it contains important and useful information even though it's long and boring. For most people who are experienced with krita (or GIMP etc) it should all be fairly self explanatory and easy to use, extend, modify, adapt, etc.

Here's an example of a grid. It's a 100-500-1000 grid and the background colour (and grid colours) can be changed or made semi-opaque or transparent. I've used bold colours for illustration but you can make something more subtle if you want to.

Here's what can happen if you get careless (or creative) and don't follow the instructions in EXPLANATION.txt.
