Conky slides down the desktop

Sat Jan 18, 2020 9:28 am
Hi,

my Conky slides down the desktop after resume or wake-up from lock-screen. A few lines at a time.

Is there anything I can do about it?

This is my .conkyrc:

Code: Select all
conky.config = {
   alignment = 'top_right',
   update_interval = 1,
   cpu_avg_samples = 2,
   net_avg_samples = 2,
   out_to_console = false,
   override_utf8_locale = true,
   double_buffer = true,
   no_buffers = true,
   text_buffer_size = 32768,
   imlib_cache_size = 0,
   own_window = true,
   own_window_type = 'normal',
   own_window_argb_visual = true,
   own_window_argb_value = 0,
   own_window_hints = 'undecorated,below,sticky,skip_taskbar,skip_pager',
   own_window_transparent = yes,
   own_window_class = 'Conky',
   border_inner_margin = 5,
   border_outer_margin = 0,
   xinerama_head = 0,
   gap_x = 0,
   gap_y = 50,
   draw_shades = false,
   draw_outline = false,
   draw_borders = false,
   draw_graph_borders = false,
   use_xft = true,
   font = 'Ubuntu Mono:size=12',
   xftalpha = 0.8,
   uppercase = false,
   default_color = 'white',
   own_window_colour = '#000000',
   minimum_width = 300, minimum_height = 0
};

hm, I have never used this, could you provide a screenshot of the differences? Not sure I understand the problem.

Currently running Kubuntu 20.04, Plasma 5.18.5, Frameworks 5.68.0, Qt 5.12.8, kernel 5.4.0-46
FWIW: it is always useful to state the exact Plasma version and distribution when asking questions in this forum, makes it easier for us to help ...

Hi, thanks, yes.

So this is how it is supposed to look:

and after some time:

sometimes it also moves sideways.

Thanks

And here is an example of side-way movement:

I am on neon with all the latest updates.

weird, I actually didn't even manage to get it on my regular desktop, maybe asking the Conky dev directly could help? I don't think he is on this forum...
