How do I skip the grub menu on boot?

So basically don't promt me to choose what to boot into.

Edit /etc/default/grub to suit your needs :)

Don't forget to run update-grub afterwards to apply your changes.

Yeah I figured as much. I'm fairly new to linux and whenever there was something to be done as root I just had to do "su" in the terminal and type in my password to login as root. Problem is, in KDE neon it rejects my password.
Sorry to bother with such basic stuff.

Neon is Ubuntu based.
You must use sudo with every command of those.
Or
sudo su
For open a session as root. With your own password.
After you've finished, you must close root session with
Exit
