Would you like to see your wallpaper on thousands of desktops (including on machines used at NASA and CERN) and also win 3 months of Blender Cloud? You are at the right place.

The KDE community is looking for a beautiful wallpaper for the next version of our Plasma desktop, so we're running a new wallpaper competition.

The winner will have their wallpaper included as the default background on KDE's upcoming Plasma 5.23 desktop. You will not only earn the admiration of thousands of Plasma users, but you will also win 3 months of Blender Cloud.

Design a brand new wallpaper (original work only!), create a new topic in this very subforum and post a low-res version of it (see Note below) and a link to the high-res version on the image hosting service of your choice (postimage, or imgur, or imgbb, etc.), and we will grab your design and display it on our wiki for our judges before the 23rd of August. Six wallpapers will be then selected for a second round that ends with a winner on the 30th of August.

Note regarding previews: We don't host images locally on the forum. Upload your preview to your favorite image-hosting service and use the 'img' tags to display it. The forum allows images of up to 720px wide.

Please read the rules and learn about the prizes here: https://community.kde.org/KDE_Visual_De ... ompetition

REMEMBER:
Read the rules carefully
Create a new topic in this subforum and post the preview of your wallpaper. Post a link to the full resolution version along with your preview.
Check out the wiki page for more information; preview the entries by other people and to get in touch with the VDG team for tips and advice
Submit your masterpiece before midnight (UTC) on the 23rd of August

GOOD LUCK!
