I'm using KDE tools at university with version 4.8.4 where you can disable the line modification markers in the respective config file. Now I'm using Windows 7 at home and I still want to use Kile since I find it far better than any other TeX editors I know. However, with KDE version 4.8.0, the same modification in the kilerc (Line Modification=false in Kate View Defaults) does not seem to work. Now my questions are:
1) Is there any possibilty to disable line modification markers in KDE for Windows 4.8.0?
2) If not, is there any possibilty to get an older KDE for Windows version without those markers (the standard servers given by the installer do not seem to have older versions)?
I find the line modification markers really annoying.
Best Regards and thanks in advance,
