hi!
I want to know if this is a bug that when I install software I need to re-log in to kde to se application in k-menu (same with amarok 2, installing scripts, I need to restart it)..do not try to follow the win, please

My os is opensuse 11.1 kde 4.2 installed by kde live-cd (release for kde 4.2)

Has anybody same problems? Or know a solution?

Kind regards

Just run kbuildsycoca4 after installing something that is supposed to be in menu... ;)

Your bug was probably fixed with this svn commit: http://websvn.kde.org:80/?view=rev&revision=918838
I know that Debian and Kubuntu have fixed packages, but I don't know about openSUSE.

You're welcome. :)
Since your problem is solved, could you please edit your post and put [SOLVED] in front of the topic? Thanks!
