Well, once we switch to Telepathy, most 'libre' IM systems will be automatically supported. But I'm not sure when it will happen. I hope it will be for 4.7 or .8

@cybertaz

L is following the FDO specifications, so in order to sort the items, you need to do that via the menu editor.

@anachreon_

Can you drag the items to the desktop or the panel (outside of quicklaunch)? If yes, it is not L's issue. (just a note, in order to drag anything, from L, plasma needs to be unlocked)

I'm gonna post this text from time to time as a reminder

Please use this thread *only* for feature requests and ideas to keep it clean. So, if you want to report a bug, do so on BKO (bugs.kde.org). If you want to discuss something else about Lancelot, or to make an inquiry on what and why - create another topic, or contact me on IRC.

First of all thanks for the great application which I use all the time. I like to request "edit properties" item on the context menu.

I have used several GNOME and KDE launchers, but mintmenu was the only one which provides this functionality. Without this, in order to change an icon of an application, I have to go to the Edit Applications (which does not provide any search functionality) and went through all those trees to find the application. Since I always search for applications with Lancelot or Kickoff when I run them, I have no idea where the application belongs and it takes several minutes to find it.

It would be great I can just search for an application in Lancelot, and right click on it, and click "edit properties ..." and get the edit application dialog.

Thanks!
Joon

Not a bad idea. I have generally rejected ideas to duplicate things from kmenuedit in Lancelot, but this could be useful.

The folder plasmoid is able to show "nepomuk folders" – all files with the same nepomuk tag. It would be great, when the shelf widget could do the same!

I'd appreciate it if the widget would dock to a screen corner when I open its menu. I click on the Lancelot icon in my panel and it opens, but it looks so foreign since it is a free floating plasmoid rather than a "menu" that is attached to the panel and a screen corner like kickoff does.

I have a simple request. Could it be an option for making Lancelot symmetric? It seems Lancelot is designed for being in the left of the screen, but I like having it in the right. When I open Lancelot, the favorite programs are in the left, and the categories in the right. I would like to have an option for changing the favorite to the right, and the categories to the left. This way, when I click the favorite programs would be near the mouse cursor.

Hello
First of all greetings and thanks for your nice Lancelot application!

I didn't find a way to show/hide the sections (e.g to show the Applications and the Computer sections and not Contacts and Documents). So my suggestion is to add this ability to make Lancelot more configurable :)

Cheers

@BajK
That is planned.

@reina
Heh, that didn't occur to me to do. The main UI does flip horizontally, but yeah, the contents could as well :)

@thetall82
The current possibility is to show the categories inside the panel and not the menu, and in that case you are able to choose which categories should be shown.

@e1nste1n
Which icons?

That is probably not gonna happen. Not soon anyway (if somebody else doesn't do it in an acceptable way)

OK. But is it possible to reduce the size only of side-icons (apps, docs, etc)?
