Hi there,

Made a search, didn't find what I was looking for.

I've installed kde 4.2 but the system tray icons
are not working, as you can see in the image
below.

Coul you help me, please? I've learned a few
things on Linux, but I'm pretty sure that I'm
still a newbie.

Thanks a lot

It was solved by updating from Qt4.4.0 to Qt4.4.3.

Could you elaborate please? I'm having the same issue.
Went into Yast Software Manager.
KDE 4 looks like 4.1.3 (From kde4-base runtime)

I see Qt3 (actually it's qt3 in yast2), but no Qt4 (qt4?).[/align]

Try "libqt4", an updated version of which should be included with the KDE 4.2 repository. Note that this fix will only work if you upgrade to KDE 4.2.

That´s right. You should update to kde 4.2 and add libqt4 from kde 4.2 repos. At least was what worked to me.
;-)

You can find the repos here

I just installed kde4.2.3 release 3 and I also added http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... SUSE_11.1/ repository. My systray icons are still not shown up.

Is there any package I need to check?

Did you actually install the new Qt packages, or just added the repository?

The problem is solved by using Qt45 repository.

Thanks,
