It would be so cool if there was an option so you could perform window actions when zoomed out in Present Windows, and have it restore the active window when you perform the mouse gesture and/or click the title bar.
Example use case: I play poker for my income and I play 8 tables at a time. My setup is to put the 8 tables on one desktop and all other windows (browser, poker lobby, chat windows...) on another desktop. The vast majority of playing is just me performing mundane actions like folding my cards or betting a standard amount which can be performed in the zoomed out view. But sometimes I get in a spot and I need to see the stack sizes, pot sizes, bet sizes and I need the window at its full size, which is why I don't just resize all the windows small and tile them. Present windows is such a great tool for me. Having this feature would mean I don't have to zoom out, zoom in, click, zoom out, wait, zoom in, click... It's be more like zoom out, click click click click, zoom in thank you KDE developers

Well, this would be cool, but I would already be happy if there were a way to close a window while zoomed out.
Maybe middle click in a thumbnail? |

I also think that closing windows in present windows would be great (middle click)
a right click should center a window and make it larger, so that you can take a closer look at it |

The old komposé for kde 3.x had those abilities and I miss them too.

I've got a short comment at DUPE
work-when-present- ... 54949.html Anyway Sign me up, Scotty. As for extra window options like closing etc, I just realized there's no law that says thumbnails can't have their own nice little GUI borders too, of course with nifty buttons and such. After all, otherwise once you start left-click/right-click/middle-click + modifier click all the cool operations you wanna do, you might end up running out or having to remember too many. One thing I'd REALLY also want in addition to this is having system tray show up in Present Windows too as I sometimes realize that the window I thought I had open somewhere, I had actually closed the the system tray. And it'd' be nice to be able to open those tray main windows from there under similar reasoning. |
