I very frequently want to use my full desktop for applications - either my browser or kmymoney, etc... To do so, I make the panel hidden of course. It occurred to me recently that I don't need a panel anymore - that I can put most every plasma item on my "dashboard" and just view it with a Ctrl-F12.

Unfortunately, with this configuration, viewing the dashboard requires a keystroke. Many times, my keyboard is stowed away and I have to pull out to press the keys so this takes time. I recommend that the "show dashboard" feature be a possible option on the "corner configuration screen". Then the dashboard can appear at the "flick" of a mouse movement. This would improve the efficiency of kde4 users and provide quicker access to the dashboard.
