Hi!
There are many different use-case-scenarios for Amarok, for example:
1. Listening some streams, some local tracks. Want to see the Wikipedia-page, the playlist, stream-list and some information on the currently played track. That's easily possible, simply add Wikipedia-Plasmoid. That's it.
2. Sort your database. You want to have a big list of tracks with all the meta-information and the Playlist-overview on the left side. Maybe you also want to hide the play/stop/next/previous/sound buttons on the top - it should be your choice. Such a conservative list well known from Amarok 1.4 and iTunes is currently not implemented in Amarok 2.1. :(
3. In future releases you may want to watch videos. Of course you neither want to waste the space using Wikipedia nor to have only fullscreen-mode. Maybe a minimalistic video-interface would be your best choice.
4. Need a minimalistic media-player and don't like the Plasmoid or the context-menu in sys-tray. Just display some buttons and track-information.
5. Want to have Wikipedia, Lyrics, Streams... Maybe you also need to cols for Plasmoids.

The solution: Multiple profiles/activities with a flexible interface. For example you should be able to move and resize, Plasmoids and control-buttons easily. Some additional Plasmoids would allow very individual interfaces.
