By now they are mostly used to toggle windows. I believe we can do much more with them like change power profiles, launch programs, adjust volume, activate plasmoids etc.

Led by ability to chose different actions for enter and leave corner, adjust delay before execution.

Nice helper for beginner users would be nice, so they could have most basic and common commands written for them, or manual at least

Title says it all. Emulate keypresses like Alt+F1 to show kicker (especially handy is you have your panel set to auto hide mode)

Lets say you are listening to music and somebody calls you. Of course, what is the best way to mute sound?

Why not to set top left corner to mute sound when we enter it with mouse (with delay of 3sec to prevent from "jumping sound" if you accidentally enter corner). Leave the corner and sound would gradually came back


Example 2: [size=large]Manage power profiles[[/size]/b]

[b]A) As many users I use laptop, and I need it to dim display, stop hard disks after short period of time to save power and save earth. But the problem is then I watch video not in full screen, read documents etc. display dims when I don't need it to do so.

Possible solution:
Set upper right corner to execute command and switch power profile to presentation mode. Set leave corner action to set previous profile back

Any time I would like to see a movie I just have to move my mouse to top right corner :D


B) All humans have to drink a cup of tee, eat dinner, let your friends in etc.
Switching to aggressive power save mode manually is not the thing we'd like to do every day

Possible solution:
Set down left corner to switch to power save mode with delay of 1min (changing profile is not urgent action so we could save some cpu cycles if we need to came back to PC earlier than we planned ). + Execute command to pause amarok playlist.
Leaving corner does opposite way


P.s. might be we could combine enter corner and mouse clicks? Like enter corner + wheel up = presentation mode, same corner wheel down = power save mode?

This also could be possible by emulating emulating keypress assigned to Show Dashboard widget without any additional work of programing.
