from http://cofundos.org/ Adding selected ideas to cofundos could help to get some funding to realize them (and maybe some new developers too). People could not only vote but also bid any amount and they would like to invest in that feature. For more information check out http://cofundos.org/ I have already placed a first project here: http://cofundos.org/project.php?id=158 BTW: cofundos could still use some more publicity, maybe the KDE Ideastorm helps to make a difference. And no, I'm not affiliated with them in any way. I just like the idea of open source financing.

I don\'t really see a need for this. It looks like a big waste of time.

As mr FreeMinded noticed, many in the FOSS community aren\'t too interested in funding. I personally don\'t think it is a bad idea, but I do think this idea is way to vague? what kind of integration would you like to see and how would it help KDE get funding? If you have concrete ideas, you could even suggest them on for example kde-promo@kde.org or other mailinglists.
I don't do sigs.

I don\'t like the idea of, "developing for money". That removes from the original point of Free Software, where the motive isn\'t money (and it has even been said before that "funds" don\'t actually improve development) but is choice, innovation and simply creating the best software available.
