KDM does not execute ~/.bashrc

Sun Feb 22, 2009 5:02 am
As per the subject, KDM does not execute ~/.bashrc. If I login using the console prompt then use startkde everything is happy. Does KDE intentionally ignore the ~/.bashrc?
Ive searched all over and cant seem to find an explanation.

KDE uses my .bashrc. What distribution are you using?

Gentoo, Im guessing its a problem with the ebuild for KDM if its fine elsewhere. Good to know its not an upstream thing though so it can be fixed thanks :)
