It started with me noticing that printscreen doesn't do nothing then I found out that none of KHotkeys aren't working.
Every other Hotkey action like KWin (ctrl+F12 for cube...) works and is registered in kded4, but not the KHotkeyes. Is that the result of my Kded4 going wild and me killing it (see the thread about that). But I do have the feeling that even before that I wasn't able to printscreen. How can repair that? Should I reinstall kded or KHotKeys? Should I wait for KDE4.2.2?

in KDE 4.x KHotKeys was moved into KDED, so please check that its service is enabled in System Settings > Advanced > Service Manager. You might also consider removing the configuration file for KHotKeys:

In "desperate" attempt to get this working (and few other things) I reinstalled my KDE. And I noticed that if my system language is set to English my Service Manager says: KHotKeys Daemon. No Daemon, no hotkeys. But I have Kded4 running and KHotKeys are set. So what's the problem?

Does it work with a new user?

No it still says no daemon no hotkeys... Did I mentioned I use KDE4.2.1 and Qt4.5. Is this a Qt4.5 fault?

The message "no daemon, no hotkeys" would be its description. Is its item in the list ticked? It needs to be.

Yes it is. On Arch forums it was suggested that I should go to System Settings --> Input Actions --> Present Actions --> PrintScreen and select "Print". But strangely I don't have it. I'm more than confused. And that's not on KDEmod KDE4.2.1 I've installed a vanilla KDE4.2.1 and I was still unable to find that. Here's how my input actions look like: I keep thinking I must have done something wrong as I have more problems with this then other Arch users. But I have no idea where I could go wrong.

I do not know what is happening here. You possibly might want to consider running Trunk and Qt 4.5, or switching back to Qt 4.4, although I do not think it is related.
Are the packages you install binary, distribution compiled, or self / distribution tool locally compiled?

They are distribution compiled, by KDEmod. It might be the Qt4.5 problem as I didn't explore much before I upgraded to Qt4.4 I'm not sure if I'm able to degrade as I have did the
Thus cleaning my cache. But I might be able to find a Qt4.4 in repos. So I'll do that and then report. Other than that the Qt4.5 isn't really bad it's quite good actually. Oh the other thing that I noticed missing is the option to make Gtk apps look like Qt. So it might be a Qt4.5 problem or something else. EDIT: I can't find Qt4.4 in repos, so I'll just have to "wait" until it's resolved in some different way.

Qt 4.5 is just one possible avenue, and is mostly related to Plasma really. I would recommend using your package manager to "verify" your installation, which checks that all files it installed are present and unchanged.

The nearest thing to verifying was to list all installed packages (with pacman -Qe) And this is what I get:
I think I more or less have every package that is needed so it should basically work. I have no idea what could be a problem.

Are the following files present under $KDEDIR?

Never mind. I'm stupid!
I search for this files in .KDE4 instead of /usr/... OK checked I got everything I need. Could it be a locale problem. I got my locale working properly just now. So I'm guessing that if that's the case I'll just reinstall KDE and it should basically work

You should have the following for each language installed under $KDEDIR:

I have my locale set to sl_SI, but all KDE settings are in sl and not in sl_SI. sl_SI is more or less empty. So what do I have to change my locale to sl or do I copy to sl_SI? I'll try it myself and see what can it be done.
