Voted up too (Obviously )
I guess I should elaborate a bit on this and explain why it would really be useful. For example, you have a question, so you ask it on the forum. Two minutes later, someone answers it and asks for some additional information. However you don't expect an answer so soon, so you don't check the forum until next morning. If we had an RSS feed, the reply would pop up in your feed reader, and you would be notified earlier. In turn, once you provide the additional information, the responder would be notified of your response, and you would be able to solve your problem more quickly. Consequently, this would dramatically improve the rate of the discussions, and would benefit the community. Just one more thing - once the feature is implemented, it should be noticeable, so that everyone is aware that it is available.

yeah and it would be more organiced and if you let say use akregator you just could pop upp the thred in a tab and answer it, and if you wnat you can set akregator to load the whole page in the news articel and right away you can se the post and alls other posts in the tread vithout even opnening a browser.. aand probable even more advantadgets that i cant think of right now:P

In stead of voting to have this added, you could of course just create a plugin and request it to be installed...
No promises, however, because I can imagine this being pretty resource intensive... |

I doubt it would be very resource-intensive because the functionality almost exists - in the User CP, when you click on "Thread Subscriptions," it already has a list of threads, ordered by the last response. So all that needs to be done is every time that list updates, the feed would be edited. I really wish I could help, but unfortunately I don't know any PHP or have much free time...

So, as it seem to work, what do you think about the JabberBot (see showthread.php?tid=10106 )? Is it a solution? For sure it is faster than RSS.

I definitely like it a lot
The only question I have is, what does it do when I'm offline? Does Jabber store messages and display them when I reconnect?

Yes, they will be stored, though i don't know if there is a time limit, depends on the jabber server.

Awesome!
In that case, your solution is definitely better than my RSS idea!

No, right, akregator doesn't has jabber support, but kopete has.
Nevertheless, it was only a side note if rss then is still needed. |

You can get a Jabber account through Kopete in seconds! I don't think you even need to supply an email to register with kdetalk.net.
