Grouped windows inherit focus

Sun Oct 18, 2009 12:11 am
When using some multi-window programs, such as Gimp, an option enabling "group focus" would force all other "grouped" windows to the forefront.

The best example really is with Gimp; When I click or select my editing window, I have to manually hunt down every other window I have open, minimize other windows, and the whole thing is a mess. Forcing all other "gimp" windows to the front would greatly improve ease of use.

Another example might be having several IM windows, when I click one, the "group focus" command might force all IM windows to the front. Or having Firefox with its downloads, add-ons, or any other window, automatically focus with the main firefox window.

Reformed lurker.
