I see no reason to hide desktop notification when the mouse cursor is over.
Sometimes, while reading notification's text, deciding what is the right button to click and moving to it with mouse the notification has already disappeared. KDE SC 4.5 will provide a new system for desktop notifications, but has this aspect been considered? |

Notifications do not disappear when the mouse cursor goes over it - unless you are suggesting for them to stay open when the mouse is over it.
You can click the notifications button and select "recent notifications" in order to see ones that have just disappeared. Does that solve your problem?

I think this is what he was saying. Whatever the case this is either "pre-existing" or "duplicate". I will assume the latter.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Timer to hide notifications should be cleared and disabled until I leave the notification area, if no button is pressed. |
