I think the KSnapshot should be called and taken the Snapshot when the "Print Scrn SysRq" key/button is pressed. This doesn't happen in KDE.

I had the same problem. But it's a bug.
It has something to do with evdev and hotplugging. Anyway you can add a printscreen shortcut from Menu editor.

If this isn't a bug but the way how the new KDE behaves, please inform me.
