When I am moving music to ipod, I cut the connection and Amarok says: "after cutting the connection executable command fails". When I look at the Ipod's files, I find the music, but when I detach Ipod from the computer and I start to listen to music, I can't hear anything. Help! Ipod version is Ipod Shuffle
1G

I still have problems with my ipod nano 4th generation, but your ipod is older and simplier and should work properly. Try to do these things:

-) update to the latest version of amarok 2 (it should require libgpod 0.6: after the installation check it's version)

-) Try now: if it doesn't work it means that apple crypted the file transfer. To make libgpod able to transfer files do what follows:

open a console and with the ipod mounted type:

sudo lsusb -v | grep -i Serial

you should see in output a line with something like this:

iSerial 000A2700133125F5

take a note of this serial.

now if [mountpoint] is the path in which your ipod has been mounted, modify (and if it's the case, create it) the following file

[mountpoint]/iPod_Control/Device/SysInfo

At the line

FirewireGuid: 0xffffffffffffffff

You have to substitute ffffffffffffffff with the iSerial you get before.

Now restart amarok: it should be able to write to the ipod

Not succeed. But amarok says something that ipod is locked. How I dowload amarok 2?
And my Shuffle is this.
